He knows a thing or two about being a bad boy.
So, when Mark Wahlberg blasted wayward teenager Justin Bieber on Tuesday you know that ‘the Biebs’ knew that the superstar actor was straight talking with him.
The 19-year-old has endured a summer of madness with various run-ins with both the police and photographers that culminated in him facing an assault charge for spitting on a DJ during a Cleveland nightclub brawl.
But although he came down tough on the Canadian born star he still believes his current problems are not as bad as his were at the same age.
‘He’s a teenager living in a different day and age,’ Mark said.
‘I was in prison before I got a record, and I don’t think he’s been to prison.’
However the former rapper also gave Bieber a veiled warning as his career appears in danger of spiraling out of control if he continues on his current path.
‘This career can be short-lived,’ he said. ‘You might as well be the best you can be while you’re doing it.’
‘Justin and I were talking about doing a movie, which could still happen,’ he added.
‘We have a great script that could be a vehicle for him to make his debut in movies, then maybe we could do something for the soundtrack.’
This is not the first time that ‘Marky Mark’ has had a run in with the teen superstar – he previously slammed him back in 2010 when he did not return a promised phone call to his then 7-year-old daughter Ella Rae who was a big fan of the singer.
