Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
A non-governmental organization, Turaki Network for Change (TNC), has said that PDP Chairman Bamanga Tukur remains the greatest obstacle to the growth and development of the party because of his inadequacies.
National Coordinator of the group, Aminu Gwandu, in a statement, said it is a pity that Tukur has been reduced to a robot by individuals whose age, exposure and above all moral uprightness, do not weigh heavily.
TNC said Tukur refused to allow internal democracy to thrive in PDP due to the conflict of his personal interest with that of the interest of the large members of the party.
The group also said that President Jonathan’s Special Adviser on political matters, Ahmed Gulak, does not appear to be at home with any individual who strives to protect and defend democracy in present day Nigeria.
The statement added that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has since the Third Term struggle been defending the sovereignty, principles of democracy, social justice and ideals of freedom.
